I am an intuitive abstract painter, who after years of creating art in service to others, has returned to my own practice with renewed energy and purpose. My paintings allow me to express thoughts and feelings beyond words, unfolding through a spontaneous and instinctive process. I don’t plan; I let the process lead, allowing each mark, color, and gesture to guide the next as the work evolves organically.

 Whimsical, playful, and energetic, my paintings often draw on memory—especially childhood—and the joy of exploration. Growing up on the Mississippi coast surrounded me with vivid colors, rhythms, and patterns that continue to echo in my work. The act of painting reconnects me to that sense of freedom and wonder: no rules or expectations, only pure play and discovery.

For me, the process itself is often more beautiful than the finished piece. My art embraces dualities—impulsive yet thoughtful, quirky yet grounded, quiet yet loud. Each work is an extension of who I am. My hope is that it sparks curiosity, stirs memory, and evokes a sense of comfort and connection, much like the fleeting joy of childhood itself.

"I am drawn to the space between forms as much as I am to the form itself. The leftover, the shapes found in objects, type, and nature. These fragments generate their own language. In my work, they are repurposed into abstract structures where geometry, color and spatial tension overrides meaning. In doing so, my intention is to make a balanced composition sustained by the interaction of positive and negative space. My belief is that both life and art develop over time. Each piece builds on past discoveries while looking towards new possibilities."
